The first Pachinko type machine using the spiral ball track was designed and patented in Saxony Europe in 1908 by Jentch & Meere under patent # ISI in Saxonys patents office archives. These machines were called ALLWIN. The British added ball cups and brass and chrome plated pins in 1913 and another patent was issued. Some of these machines were made to pay English pennies in lue of balls. Lights, Bells and small flipper arms were then added in 1915. The USA seemingly tied in with Britain in the twenties and created the (mechanical) Pachinko as we know it today. They produced a machine that was suitable for casino use. The Japanese then got interested in them, adding the special pin layout, required by Japanese Gaming regulators. Now generally accepted in the Pachinko industry, called the Masumura gauge, in honor of Mr. Masumura of Japan. They also added the first tulip type of ball cup which apparently was introduced in the late fifty's - early sixty's. Very little change was made to the 'vintage' Pachinko machine until the 1990's when the race to attract new players to the Pachinko parlors reached a fever pitch. THE ALLWIN PLAY SEQUENCE
ALLWIN TABS If you didn't take the time to view our Gallery of ALLWIN machines it would be worth your time. You will read about features that have been carried forward from the past and incorporated in the latest technology available. On the play board you will see the tabs below the LED Slot machine. The most popular ALLWIN machine of all times had tabs. Named after it's inventor William Edward Bryan, the Bryans Elevenses was the first machine to control the payout using tabs. We are sure he had no idea that his technology would be the basis for the new technology some 80 years later. THE GIANT ROTOR A few years after the Bryans Elevenses breakthrough they added a novel rotor variable payout. This MATURI machine kept all of the defining moments in the history of the ALLWIN and included them into this amazing machine. Above you can see the Rotor plays an important role. Now that we have brought you up to speed we can proceed with the play sequences. Your first goal is to get balls in the ACTION GO pocket centered in the ROTOR. Balls that go into this pocket activates the LED Slot machine and the LED Slot starts spinning. The reels stop one at a time and when the first two match you are ready for Tab play. The next section will show how Tab play affects the outcome. WE ONLY NEED ONE MORE SEVEN!! After several Slot activations we matched the first two Slot reels. The colors start changing and the AMAZING TECHNO DANCE MUSIC starts. Studio 54 in New York eat your heart out. The music will blow you away! The Tabs light, the reel stops on a 6. Not a winner! The Tabs count down and the third reel starts spinning again. Still no winner. This continues and now let's move on to the next section. ONLY 3 MORE CHANCES!! Things are not looking good! We are down to our last three tries at the 3rd matching number and the GIANT JACKPOT! Over and over we keep getting everything but a seven. We are so close yet so far from the Giant Jackpot. We found ourselves thinking Please PLEASE a 7. Let me tell you..... WE RAN OUT OF CHANCES!! Well we guess you can tell by the picture we were not able to get the numbers to match and win the Giant Jackpot. There is always something good out of bad. All the while you are trying to get the Giant Jackpot you are rewarded with a great light show and the music. Oh the music!! It is wonderful! Now what?? All of a sudden the V on each end of the Tabs light. Let me tell you..... WE GET ANOTHER CHANCE! When the two V's lit all three reels started spinning, the light show intensified, and the TECHNO DANCE MUSIC was at a fever pitch! The reels kept changing color and All three stopped at the same time. Now we have two Blue 3's and a Green 6. Take a look at the Tabs. They were once again lit but the 3 and 6 are different colors. Above we have 3 and 6, the 3 and 6 in the Tabs below are different colors. The 6 flashed and started moving up. Now 7 then 8, 9, 0, 1, 2, and finally..... THE GIANT JACKPOT!!! Suddenly the machine went black and the music stopped. We thought there was something wrong with the machine. NOT SO! BAM! The machine came alive and all three numbers matched and all the same color! This is the Giant Jackpot for certain! READ ON....... THIS IS AMAZING We turned off the lights to show you the light show. Here we are in Round 4 of the Giant Jackpot. We were already a big winner. Up to this point we have won over 500. At this stage of the Jackpot about half the lights are rotating and flashing. JUST WAIT SUPER FLASH When we got to Round 10 of the Giant Jackpot the Super Flash play began. When you get all three matching numbers the GIANT JACKPOT HAS BEGUN!!! You better start firing the balls as fast as you can. If you don't you will not get to the next Jackpot Level. You MUST get a ball in the Trap Door area to keep the Jackpot alive. There are 15 levels of Jackpot play possible. If you don't get a ball in the Trap Door area you will have to start over at the beginning! FIRE FASTER!! Every time you land a ball in the Trap Door area, it pays 15 and increases the Jackpot level by one.
